Flathead Shelter Friends has been a fixture in the Flathead community, assisting the Flathead County Animal Shelter since 2009. The shelter sees more than 1500-1800 animals pass through the Flathead County Animal Shelter each year, receiving food, shelter, and loving care. Approximately half of the animals that come through are thankfully returned to their owners, with 98 percent of those remaining animals finding lifelong loving homes through our ongoing adoption promotion, fee share program and a Senior Veterinary voucher program. As you might guess, it takes a community effort to care for that many animals. Dedicated volunteers and staff at the shelter are extremely grateful for the contributions that Flathead Shelter Friends has brought to the shelter (Improvements to the shelter such as: Outdoor patio kennels, helping fund a state-of-the-art medical wing; expanded cat kennels; and most recently, replacing the old rock kennel yards with K9 Synthetic Grass. But even with the generosity of all our volunteers and supporters, we still have many more improvements, repairs, medical funding and supplies to better the lives of the animals currently housed at the shelter. The need during the coldest months of winter is especially great. Sponsoring Flathead Shelter Friends will save lives, improve the lives of hundreds of innocent animals each year, and will give back to our community. We hope this proposal will explain how you can help, be involved, and describe how your generous gift will be used.

Flathead Shelter Friends offers three levels of sponsorship. The following are our sponsorship levels:  Savior Sponsorship - $10,000 (This level of sponsorship will contribute to the many upcoming projects we are planning:  Roof Overhangs for the Outdoor Patio Kennels to keep the dogs dry during the rainy and snowy months and keep the sun off of them in the summer;  Installation of new Guillotine doors to keep our animals safe and warm during the winter months; replacing the remaining gravel kennel yards with K9Synthetic Grass; and finally, expansion of the current shelter (much needed as our valley grows);  This level can also be tailored to your specific desires.  Protector Sponsorship - $1000 to $10,000 – Medical Fund for specialized or live-saving surgeries that require outside veterinary and specialty, as well as help with funding medications for adopters who chose special needs dogs (this helps make adopting that special needs animals much more affordable - ex: Anti-seizure and Allergy medication).  Friend Sponsorship – $10 to $1000 – Help with Adoption Fees for Seniors and Veterans; Pay for Microchips for our community; or any other need you may want to contribute to.  Our Fundraising team would be happy to discuss your sponsorship at any level.
